Hopkinton State Park, MA

Join the Eastern Mountain Sports Kayak School at Hopkinton State Park for Kayak Instruction. This location is perfect for individuals, couples and families to get out and experience kayaking. Bring your own kayak or use one of ours. Our programs include the use of all equipment needed for a fun and safe experience out on the water!

Hopkinton State Park contains 1450 acres and with its fresh water reservoir and its sheltered coves it’s a great location for protected Kayak instruction. The town of Hopkinton is a beautiful New England community with 14,000 residents, just 30 miles west of Boston, 45 minutes north of Providence, two hours east of the Berkshires, and one hour north of Cape Cod. Within twenty miles of Hopkinton State Park there are many locations for extensive trail riding, rock-climbing, mountain biking (the infamous Vietnam trail is only five minutes away) hiking and lake swimming.

Driving Directions to Hopkinton State Park
Route 495 (north or south) to exit 21A Main Street Hopkinton. Travel on Main Street until the third traffic light located at the heart of downtown Hopkinton. Turn left, traveling North on Route 85. Proceed approximately 2 miles to the Hopkinton State Park entrance on the right (not the Field Office on the left). Once in the park, proceed through the contact station and make a right at the fork in the road. Follow the road until it turns down towards the water. You have arrived when you see the boathouse. Park your car in any of the adjacent lots and look for the black Eastern Moutain Sports trailer to the right of the boathouse.
